Sweets

The end of a Turkish meal is usually small: a spoonful of something preserved, or something sweet made from nuts. Here, that means whole young figs in a clove-spiced syrup, and Antep pistachios with just enough sugar. These same pistachios are used by one of the finest baklava makers in Antep, the city known as the birthplace of baklava.
