Figs are a favored fruit that are widely cultivated in the Anatolian landscape. Our whole young Turkish figs are quick-pickled, cooked in a spiced syrup, and then preserved in their own syrup to keep their whole shape and slightly crunchy texture.

Our preserved figs are a strikingly beautiful accompaniment both visually and in flavor to any cheese or charcuterie board. Pairs exceptionally well with fresh cheeses like chevre or ricotta, aged sheep’s milk cheeses such as pecorino, and soft-ripened cheeses. We especially love to enjoy these with extra-aged prosciutto or a thin slice of speck. Can be sliced and used as a topping for labne, oatmeal or toasted and buttered bread.

Save the syrup! We love to add some to our coffee and tea beverages, cocktails, as a substitute for a drizzle of honey.
